CMC TUITION PRIZE

OFFICIAL RULES - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

MAY 31, 2009 Prize Give Away


  1. 1. This random drawing is open to anyone who qualifies for admission to CMC and no purchase or fee is required. This promotion does not discriminate against anyone based on race, age, sex, handicap, religion, national origin or marital status. Entrants are not eligible if they are employees of California Medical College, its contractors, sponsors, or any other company associated with CMC, its agents or a member of any such employee's immediate family (mother, father, brother's sisters, sons, daughters, spouse or children of a spouse) or person with whom you are domiciled (whether related to the employee or not).
  2. 2. There is a limit of one entry per person. Failure to fully complete the entry form is cause for disqualification of an entry. Odds of winning are determined by the total number of eligible entries received.
  3. 3. The Grand Prize will be one full CMC tuition up to $10,000, including books, scrubs, and medical kit
  4. 4. Four additional prizes will be awarded as partial CMC tuition, valued at $1,000 each
  5. 5. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  6. 6 .The winner must meet all standards to successfully enroll in CMC program, begin the program within 90 days, and attend on a continuous basis thereafter. (The tuition prize may be nullified by CMC if active enrollment and attendance is not possible or is discontinued)
  7. 7. The winner must be personally present to win at the California Medical College Grand Opening Event on May 31st. (A valid California Driver’s License or ID with a picture will be necessary to verify your attendance. Failure to personally attend invalidates your entry form and another entry will be awarded the prize)
  8. 8. Online entries will be accepted until midnight, May 30, 2009. Written entry forms, available at the CMC office (919 Garnet, San Diego, CA 92109) and at the Grand Opening starting at 1:00PM, May 31, 2009, will be accepted up to 15 minutes before the random drawing by at least 3:00PM, as determined by CMC.
  9. 9. The winner must be a U.S. Citizen, resident of California, and at least 18 years old to enter
  10. 10. The winner must have a high school diploma or GED by the time of commencing the CMC program
  11. 11. The winner must subsequently provide a brief statement stating their educational goals, career goals, and past and present extracurricular activities as part of enrollment
  12. 12. The winner must provide at least two letters of recommendation as part of enrollment
  13. 13. The winner must NOT have a four year undergraduate or graduate degree
  14. 14. Cannot be attending another university, college, trade school or certification/educational program at the same time while attending CMC
  15. 15. Additional enrollment terms and conditions may apply
  16. 16. Information provided on the entry forms submitted to CMC can be used in the future to provide information about educational opportunities, promotions, events, and other items through email or direct mail.
  17. 17. By entering this sweepstakes, the winners authorize CMC and their representatives to use in any related publicity, if required, their name, likeness, photograph, image, any statements they may make regarding the prize, biographical information, place of residence and/or voice for advertising purposes world wide in perpetuity and in any form of media including the Internet, without any further payment or compensation.
  18. 18. All entrants agree that CMC is released from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, costs and all other expenses that may arise against them in connection with their participation in the CMC Grand Opening Event and Tuition Prize Award.
  19. 19. Each winner is responsible for paying all taxes and expenses relating to winning the Prize. By participating in the CMC Grand Opening Event and Tuition Prize Award, participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest judges.
  20. 20. All prizes will be awarded based on a random drawing May 31, 2009, conducted by CMC. Names of winners in attendance will be immediately announced. Should a name be drawn and the entrant does not respond as being in attendance another name or names will be immediately selected until the prize is awarded to the entrant who is at the Grand Opening event.
  21. 21. California Medical College is not responsible for any malfunction, error (human or mechanical), loss of entries, data or information, or any other circumstances that may discount or exclude the entry of any individual. California Medical College reserves the right to change these rules at any time. All decisions of the CMC judges are final and binding.
  22. 22. California Medical College reserves the right, without prior notice and without liability, to void any entry and/or cancel, suspend or modify the CMC Grand Opening Event and Tuition Prize Award in whole or in part (without notice to entrant's individually) if, in its sole discretion, it determines that for any reason the drawing is not capable of being conducted as intended, fraud, technical failures, human, printing or distribution errors, or any other causes or occurrences have compromised the administration, safety, fairness or integrity of the of the sweepstakes. Any person entering this drawing or trying to do so by any means which go against the intention of these Official Rules and which would be unfair to the other participants will be automatically disqualified.

NOTICE TO ONLINE ENTRANTS: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CMC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. CMC is not responsible for faulty, incorrect or mistranscribed phone/e-mail transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind, technical hardware or software failures of any kind including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or experiencing any materials in connection with the promotion, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in the promotion. CMC assumes no responsibility for undeliverable e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering by a user's Internet service provider and/or e-mail client or for insufficient space in user's e-mail account to receive e-mail. Proof of submitting entries will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by CMC. Any entries which are suspected of being fraudulent (including those using robotic, automatic, programmed or similar methods of participation) will be disqualified, based on determinations made solely by CMC. CMC reserves the right to prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the account holder fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.
