California Medical College was founded by Dr. Barry Broomberg, a renowned La Jolla physician and Mr. Ronald Bendelstein, a business, educational and financial expert. California Medical College strives to provide students with superior and practical training in a shortened time frame with affordable tuition costs. Medical classes are taught by physicians, experienced practitioners and industry experts. We strive to make it EASIER for our student to be successful. History
Dr. Barry Broomberg founded the Academy of Medical Assistants in 2005 to provide quality education and skills for students aspiring to become medical assistants and to meet the hiring demands within the medical community. In 2009, the college relocated from La Jolla to Pacific Beach and changed it's name to California Medical College. Along with the change of ownership, the programs offered were expanded and the following additional national certifications were added. Medical Assistant, Medical Office Administration, Patient Care Technician, EKG Technician and Pharmacy Technician. In March of 2010, California Medical College was approved to offer a Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide Training Program.
California Medical College is approved by the Bureau for Private and Post Secondary Education, B.P.P.E. as well as the Caifornia Department of Health. National Certifications are approved by N.C.C.T. and N.H.A.

California Medical College is dedicated to providing the highest quality medical certifications and licensed programs in the shortest amount of time possible for the best value, to all students who are committed to improving themselves, their futures, and the lives of others.
Summary
The foundation of California Medical College began from a simple principle; to help others. We do this by providing a higher standard of education by employing physicians to teach skills that they themselves deem valuable and also readily employable. After all, a degree or certificate is only as good as the skills that accompany it. California Medical College brings together San Diego’s premier Doctors and Educational experts to provide students with the most comprehensive medical certification training program available. The primary mission of the college is to instruct students to be able to acheive competency levels qualifying them for initial employment and/or career advancement in the healthcare field,.
Our network of physician and community partners provides improved training and employment opportunities for our students. Our programs are designed to help students pass their national certifications the first time. Class sizes are small and are held two nights a week providing students with maximize flexibility during the day. Students are able to receive multiple certifications after only six months.
